The services are requested for the Clements Ferry Road Widening Phase 2 project in Berkeley County. This is a large-scale Local Public Agency Administered construction project that includes the widening Clements Ferry Road for approximately 4.5 miles from Jack Primus Road (S-8-119) to SC 41. The improvements involve widening the two-lane roadway to a four-lane curb and gutter section, with a raised planted median and multi-use path along one side of the roadway. This roadway segment has a current ADT of 14,200 and includes two bridges and two signalized intersections. It is anticipated that the construction contract will be let by SCDOT at a date yet to be determined. Consultants must be familiar with performing CE&I services on Local Public Agency administered projects on State (SCDOT) highway and bridge construction projects. These services may include but not be limited to the services to perform construction management, construction engineering, construction survey verification, public relations, and quality acceptance and assurance inspection and testing in the areas of concrete, earthwork, drainage and base, erosion control, traffic control, and asphalt roadway to determine compliance with the contract requirements.
